# Delete a managed knowledge website and its pages

> Permanently remove the website, its page sources, chunks and crawl jobs under existing service semantics. Use only when deletion is requested. Deactivation uses set_knowledge_website_selection instead. Inspect the website first and reconcile after an ambiguous result; deletion has no automatic restoration. Required permission: knowledge:write. Connected business only; no tenant override.
