# Edit asset folder sharing and applicability

> Patch only supplied folder fields. null propertyId makes the folder global; empty description clears it. Scope changes propagate to members. active=false disables sharing and revokes folder links under existing rules. Read folder and member assets after saving. Required permission: knowledge:write. Connected business only; no tenant override.
