# Inspect an indexed knowledge chunk

> Read current stored chunk text using chunkId from search_knowledge or a saved RAG receipt in get_conversation_answer_trace. A missing/deleted chunk returns 404. Current text may differ from the answer-time version; this is not historical causality or private reasoning. Required permission: knowledge:read. Connected business only; no tenant override.
