# Before you start

> Connect your WhatsApp number to Visito

There are two ways to connect WhatsApp to Visito. Both options provide the **same functionality** within Visito dashboard and API.

  **Not sure which option to choose?**\
  Use your existing WhatsApp Business App number if your customers already contact you there.\
  Choose a new number if you want a cleaner and fully automated setup without relying on the WhatsApp app.
