Resolve a Meta payment issue for the correct WhatsApp account and check its billing setup.
Meta messaging charges are separate from your Visito subscription. If Meta reports a WhatsApp payment issue, review the payment method attached to the WhatsApp account that sends your messages.A payment issue does not always mean that no card exists. An existing method, billing permissions, account configuration, or a credit line may need attention.
Open Meta Business Suite. Sign in with a Meta user who can manage billing for the business that owns your WhatsApp account, then select that business portfolio.
2
Open WhatsApp accounts
Open Settings → Accounts → WhatsApp accounts. Select the intended WhatsApp account. Confirm the account and phone number before changing billing; a business can have multiple accounts.
3
Open Payment settings
In the selected account’s Summary tab, choose Payment settings.
Illustrative example in Meta Business Suite. Your account details may differ.
Visito’s Add or update payment method link, when available, opens this account-selection page. If Meta asks you to select a portfolio or account again, choose the one that owns your sending number.
4
Add or update the payment method
In Billing & payments, choose Add payment method, or update an existing method. Complete any verification Meta requests and confirm that the intended method is the default for this WhatsApp account. A method saved for another Meta asset may not be attached to this account.
The Add payment method control in Billing & payments, shown with example details.
5
Check again in Visito
Return to Visito. When a payment alert is shown, choose Check again. Allow at least 60 seconds between checks. If Meta is unavailable, Visito retains the last confirmed result and marks it as potentially out of date.A successful check does not resend previous failed messages or change their delivery status. Review those messages before sending again.
6
If the issue remains
Ask your business administrator to check billing access. Review balances, payment verification, credit-line status (if applicable), and the WhatsApp account’s currency, time zone, and account status. Contact Meta support for unresolved billing issues, or Visito support for help identifying the affected account. Never send card details or access tokens to support.
WhatsApp payment issue: Meta has reported a payment problem. Add or update the method and review billing if a method already exists.
Last result may be out of date: the last check is old or the latest check failed. This does not confirm that billing is healthy.
Delivery error 131042: Meta reports a payment-related problem, but adding a card is not a guaranteed fix. Account configuration, suspended or deleted accounts, inactive or over-limit credit lines, and incomplete payment-account connections can also cause this error. See Meta’s error-code guidance.
If Visito cannot confirm which business owns the sending account, use this guide to identify the correct account in Meta before changing payment settings.
Meta’s non-template message pricing announcement describes charging changes beginning October 1, 2026: non-template service messages and utility template messages sent within the customer service window become chargeable. The 24-hour customer service window still determines when non-template replies may be sent; it does not make those messages free under the announced pricing.Replies generated by third-party AI, including a Visito AI agent, are service messages under these rules. They are different from Meta Business Agent, Meta’s own agent offering with separate pricing. Your Visito subscription is also separate from Meta’s messaging charges. Consult Meta’s current rates and the announcement for the details applicable to your account and message category.Visito’s temporary reminder campaign runs through October 15, 2026, Mexico City time. That date is a Visito reminder cutoff, not a Meta deadline or grace period. Payment warnings on channel rows can remain after the reminder campaign ends.
